Evolutive faction

A faction is not equivalent to Civilization. It corresponds to a region of the world, and can to several historical civilizations that controlled this region in History. As a faction advances in the game, it will come through some “faction evolutions”. These evolutions are usually triggered by a change in era, and can lead to change in the name of the faction, peoples and leaders, perhaps to a change in military units style (for graphics), and also to a change of attributes.

Some changes can correspond to barbarian invasions, and will reduce the faction strength, destroying some buildings, creating uprising, etc.

Note that the civilizations are not alike. Some are very strong at certain times, or very weak at other. The Americans are weak at the beginning of the game, and start to be powerhouse during the imperialism era, and became the most powerful civilization in the atomic era.
